Beginner Music Lessons for Kids

• Clear practice cards: 8–10 minutes at home.

• Sticky songs: familiar tunes to keep them engaged.

Parental help:

• Set a fixed practice time (after snack).

• Use a timer.

• Celebrate small wins.

Local touch

Kids love playing a tune they can show at grandparents near Adelaide Oval or on weekends in North Adelaide parks. We give show-and-tell pieces early.

When to move up

Once they read simple lines and keep time, we add hands-together work and little performance goals.
