Enrolling with Key Strings Music Academy secures a dedicated weekly lesson time just for you.Tuition is billed monthly, based on an annual plan divided into 12 equal payments. Your lesson time is exclusively yours — just like renting a seat at the same time every week. By enrolling, you’re reserving that time regardless of attendance. Because of this, we do not offer credits or refunds for missed lessons. This includes illness, vacations, or changes in personal plans. Our pricing is designed to remain fair and consistent while accounting for occasional absences. This helps us provide stable work for our teachers and reliable schedules for all families.

If you know you’ll be away for multiple weeks, you have two options: Option 1 – Maintain Enrolment Continue regular payments to keep your lesson time secured. Your spot will be held for your return, and you won’t lose your regular teacher or day/time. Option 2 – Pause Enrolment Let us know in writing before the start of the next billing cycle. Your time slot will be temporarily released and made available to others. While we can’t guarantee the same time slot when you return, we’ll do our best to find a similar spot based on availability.

We offer a discounted trial lesson so students can get to know their teacher and learning environment before committing.Trial Fee: $25 (around 41% off our standard $42.64 weekly rate). An invoice will be issued before your trial to confirm your spot; payment is required in advance.Continuing: If you choose to continue, you'll receive a $10 credit towards your first month's invoice, reducing your effective trial cost to just $15 (around 65% off).Monthly Billing: After your trial, if you join partway through a month, you'll be invoiced at the standard academy rate (weekly average $42.64) for the remaining weeks in that month. If your trial falls in the final week of a month, your next invoice will begin as a new full month at the standard monthly fee.

If you cancel or reschedule your trial lesson with less than 12 hours’ notice, a $5 late notice fee applies. In this case, the trial will be charged at $20.24 ($15.24 base trial rate + $5 late notice fee) This applies whether or not you continue with ongoing lessons. The fee helps us respect the teacher’s time and ensure smooth scheduling for all students.

If a teacher needs to cancel a lesson, they may offer to reschedule the missed lesson based on their availability. If a suitable reschedule time is not available or the student is unable to attend the offered time, a full credit for the missed lesson will be applied to your account. If the cancellation occurs after the upcoming month’s invoice has already been processed (e.g. a cancellation on the 28th after invoices are issued on the 27th), the credit will appear on the following month’s invoice. If instead of a credit you request a refund, please note that any third-party payment processing fees (such as Stripe card fees) are non-refundable, as these charges are retained by the payment provider and not returned to us. Example: Lesson cancelled on March 28 April invoice was processed on March 27 Credit will be applied to May’s invoice If refund is requested instead of credit, the Stripe fee will not be refunded

Payments made after the due date may result in a $5 late fee.If payment is significantly overdue, lessons may be temporarily paused until the account is up to date. This ensures fairness for both students and teachers.All payments are non-refundable once processed.

To pause or cancel your enrolment, written notice must be provided before invoices are issued on the 27th of the month for the following month. If notice is given after the 27th, the upcoming month will still be billed and the lesson time will be held for you for that period, even if lessons are not attended. Once unenrolled, your time slot may be offered to another student and is not guaranteed upon return.

We aim to host at least one student recital each year, subject to student interest.Recitals are a fun, low-pressure way for students to perform, build confidence, and celebrate their progress. Families will receive full details, including pricing and venue info, 1–2 months in advance to allow plenty of time for preparation.

Parents and guardians are responsible for prompt drop-off and pick-up of students.Teachers cannot supervise students outside their lesson times due to back-to-back bookings and other commitments.

We love word-of-mouth referrals — it’s the highest compliment!For each friend you refer who:Mentions your name when enrolling, andCompletes three full lessons within five weeks (not including the trial), you’ll receive a $25 credit on your next invoice.There’s no limit to how many friends you can refer.

All payment information is stored securely within our studio software (MyMusicStaff) and processed by Stripe, a trusted global payment provider.We will never ask you to send payment details via text or email. All sensitive info is handled securely, either during setup or over the phone.

The Sports Vouchers Plus Program is an initiative by the Government of South Australia, administered by the Office for Recreation, Sport and Racing (ORSR). This program provides eligible children with financial support to participate in approved physical and recreational activities, including music lessons.For more information about the program, visit:https://www.sportsvouchers.sa.gov.auHow the voucher is used• Submit the Sports Voucher form provided during enrolment.• We lodge the voucher with the Office for Recreation, Sport and Racing (ORSR).• ORSR reviews and approves the voucher (usually within 7–10 business days).• Once approved, the voucher amount is applied as a credit to your next invoice.Voucher ValueEligible students may receive $100 or up to $200 in Sports Voucher support.To ensure the full value is used, the credit may be applied across two months of lessons where required.Example:$100 credit applied in the first month$100 credit applied in the following month

Welcome to our instrumental music program! To ensure smooth operations, clear communication, and a great musical experience for every student, please review our program policies below.1. Billing Structure & Dynamic FeesLessons are billed on a monthly basis to secure your child’s dedicated slot.The monthly fee is calculated dynamically based on the number of weeks in that specific calendar month, aligned with school terms.Lessons do not run during school public holidays or school holiday periods.2. Payment Terms, Due Dates & Late FeesInvoice Schedule: Invoices will be sent out on the 27th of the previous month and are due before the start of the new month.Primary Payment Method: Payments are to be made via Direct Bank Transfer (EFT) using the account details provided on your invoice. Please use your child’s full name as the payment reference.Online Card Payments & Surcharges: While direct bank transfer is preferred to keep lesson costs down for families, online card payments can be made available upon request. Please note that online card payments will incur an additional surcharge added on top of the invoice total to cover merchant transaction fees.Late Fees: To ensure smooth administration, invoices that remain unpaid after the due date will incur a $5.00 late fee.3. Attendance & Missed LessonsBecause time slots on are strictly limited and reserved exclusively for your child, missed lessons due to illness, school excursions, sports days, family holidays, or changes in the school timetable are non-refundable and cannot be credited or made up.In the rare event that I (the teacher) must cancel a lesson, a makeup lesson or a financial credit applied to the next month's invoice will be provided.4. Discontinuing LessonsIf you wish to discontinue lessons for the following month, you must provide written notice before the upcoming month's invoice is processed/paid. Once an invoice has been paid or the month has commenced, lessons for that month cannot be cancelled or refunded.
